Self-Care Soup

I have this soup a lot in Winter and created it by simply combining ingredients that have immunity-boosting, antibacterial, soothing or cleansing properties. It makes me feel good; especially when tired or unwell. Give it a go and adjust to suit 🙂

 

SELF-CARE SOUP (serves 1-2 small bowls or 4 mugs):

350-400ml of water

black pepper

garlic

honey (or maple syrup)

2 small stock cubes or half a bouillon cube (vegetable, onion or other)

A bean (flageolet, haricot, cannellini, borlotti, pinto)

2 tbsp of tiny pasta shapes or rice

Generous slug of olive oil

A pinch of cinnamon or chinese 5 spice

1 tbsp of gravy powder (only add if you want to thicken )

Salt (optional)

 

Simmer for several minutes until pasta or rice is cooked then dish up! 🙂
